Events 2023

Nepomuk offers visitors a number of cultural events. From April to October, you can visit the food and craft market once a month. In the summer, a concert or theater is held on the Small Summer Stage every holiday Friday.

Memorial event - Liberator, February 25 from 10 a.m.

The 79th anniversary of the tragic event when the American bomber Liberator was shot down, carrying eleven men on board, ten of whom died in the accident.

Spring SJN Pilgrimage – March 17.-19.

Pilgrimage to the 630th anniversary of the martyrdom of SJN. The program traditionally includes a Holy Mass, a lecture and a themed concert of music from the time of SJN.

Easter market - March 25

The market is focused on food, produce and products originating from the region of southwestern Bohemia, but also Europe and the world. You can also buy handicrafts and Easter decorations at the Easter market.

We opening Nepomuk - April 22

The start of the tourist season in Nepomuk will allow free tours of museums and normally inaccessible interiors, including guided walks and a spring concert at the archdeaconry.

Nepomuk Pilgrimage – May 13.-14.

It is undoubtedly the most popular and most visited event throughout the year on the occasion of the SJN. Masses and attractions are part of it, but at the same time it is a lively festival for the whole family, whose tradition dates back to the Baroque era.

Nefestík – June 16.-18.

Alternative music festival. Every year, the organizing team tries to offer the most interesting things that appeared on the (southwest) Czech club scene. The stylistic range is wide from folk to reggae and punk rhythms to post hard core, drum'n'bass or psytrance.

Little Summer Scene - every Friday all summer long Come and have fun at cultural events! Just a few steps from the main square all summer long. Music, dance and theater, always from 8 p.m.

Beer Fest - July 15

A varied display of Czech beer complemented by a multi-genre music program and a rich selection of various goodies of beer gastronomy. Square always hosts taps of more than twenty mostly smaller Czech, Moravian and foreign breweries.

Nepomuk motorcycle race – July 29.-30.

"The Nepomuk triangle" is a race of historic motorcycles and sidecars. Saturday is training and Sunday is the race. The first edition took place already in 1948, then as a speed race. You can get to know the history of the plant through a permanent exhibition at Zelenohorská pošta.

Autumn Under Zelena Hora - October 20.-21.

A traditional tourist event organized for pedestrians, cyclists and strollers. Friday's Beer walking includes wandering around microbreweries and pubs in and around Nepomuk, Saturday's program is intended for pedestrians and cyclists on various routes.

Advent market and tree lighting - December 3 A rich market with around fifty vendors focused mainly on Christmas goods and food, which includes a cultural program and the lighting of the Christmas tree.
